This piece is inspired by someone known as The Mustache Man. This was a very fun piece for me

At first glance his serious expression and the darker tones set a contemplative atmosphere. These elements reflect the depth of his intellect and the way his sharp mind can turn inward. Driven by high standards, he can be critical of himself.

That said, people who meet the Mustache Man first notice the aspects of his character represented by the vivid highlights. These bursts of color reflect his adventurous nature and goofy energy. The warmth throughout speaks to his core, caring and genuine.

The balance of dark and light, seriousness and playfulness captures a duality that contributes to his uniqueness.

… And to nail home his uniqueness and to make him laugh, the only brown flower, the Calycanthus, fills the background.
